Baxter County Sheriff’s Office is reporting a stabbing of a man at the Bayou Resort in Gamaliel. Baxter County Deputies and Arkansas State Police responded to a 911 call at 6:50pm Saturday.

Officers on scene arrested a man hiding in the woods behind a cabin, after a short chase Trooper Britt Clements of the ASP caught and subdued the suspect, identified as 26 year old Travis John Clary. The victim was identified as Timothy Jay Clary, the brother of the suspect.

Travis Clary at the time of his arrest appeared intoxicated with blood on his pants according to reports. The weapon, a double edge daggar, believed to be the weapon used was located outside the cabin.

After investigation, investigators believe that Travis and his wife were arguing when his brother Timothy became involved. Timothy was stabbed one time in the stomach and fled outside until officers arrived, he was then transported by private vehicle to the local hospital.

Travis was charged with Domestic Battery 1st Degree and Fleeing an Officer.

He was booked into the Baxter County Detention Center according to Sheriff John Montgomery of Baxter County.
