Vehicle Pursuit Changes To Foot Pursuit Before Lawrence County Sheriff Deputies Arrest A Local Man On Outstanding Warrants And More.
Captain Jody Dotson of the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of Joeseph Jason Stallings of Black Rock on a parole absconding warrant, fleeing in a vehicle, fleeing on foot and careless driving.
Captain Dotson stated that the arrest came after Lawrence County Deputies noticed a vehicle driving erratic near Black Rock. Deputies tried to stop a purple Ford Ranger pickup truck and the subject fled from deputies in the truck. After a short distance the driver of the truck jumped from the vehicle and fled on foot. Deputies chased the man on foot for over a block before tackling him.
Once the subject was caught deputies learned it was Stallings. A check of Stalling showed the parole absconding warrant. Stallings was placed under arrest and transported to the Lawrence County Jail to await a parole revocation hearing.
