September 4th, Ravenden Police Officer Scotty Dail stopped a van in Ravenden for a traffic violation. Officer Dail was joined by Chief Tim McComas on the stop. Officer Dail and Chief McComas removed the driver and a passenger from the van and interviewed separately. While Officer Dail spoke with the driver, Steven Wayne Henry of Ozark Acres, Chief McComas spoke with the passenger Cody Gadd of Hardy Arkansas.

Marijuana was discovered on Gadd and he was placed under arrest. The driver, Henry, was given a field sobriety tests, and then taken into custody for DWI. Henry refused a chemical test and both were transported to the Lawrence County Jail.

While being dressed out at the jail three baggie’s of suspected methamphetamine and three baggie’s of suspected marijuana fell out of Henry’s clothing.

Steven Wayne Henry was charged with possession with intent to deliver (methamphetamine), possession with intent to deliver (marijuana), possession of drug paraphernalia, introducing a controlled substance into a correctional facility, DWI, refusal to submit and endangering the welfare of minors, two counts. Cody Gadd was charged with possession of marijuana.
