With the end of the Summer Reading Program comes the big summer party that all the children look foward to, and this year’s party was a great success.

Over 20 children out of the 38 signed up for the program attended today’s party along with parents and grandparents. This years theme was “Make a Splash” so Librarians Laura Hubler and Lisa Williams set up a Sprinkler outside for the children to play in and also provided many games and prizes.
The kids snacked on chips, subway sandwiches, and drinks.

The children read in excess of 1500 books over a 6 week period. Skyla Lester of Imboden read 150+ books making her the recipient of a “Star Reader” certificate.

Prizes awarded this year included two swimming pools and a “Slip-N-Slide”, winners this year were Zachary Smith of Imboden, Catrina Williams and Clayton Williams both of Imboden. Also given away were several prize baskets, Zachary Smith, Clayton Williams, Skyla Lester and Alyson Woodard won those as well in drawings.
Pig-N-Out BBQ donated 2 coupons for milkshakes to be given away and Mcleod’s Grocery donated a coupon for $10 off a pizza.
Generous cash donations provided the food and prizes for the children. The library would like to once again thank *The Friends of the Library,*Anna Lue Cook,* Linda Williams, * Sandee’s Salon, * Willie’s Diner, * Diann’s Beauty Salon, * Pig-N-Out BBQ, *Riverfront Restaurant, * Cottage Cafe, and *Mcleod’s Grocery for their donations!
