We have photo’s sent in from reader’s of the rain storms late yesterday afternoon that caused area creeks to rise, several county roads to partially wash out, and resulted in damage to parts of Lawrence County.
It looks like we are not out of the wood’s yet as the forcast today calls for high winds ,100 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Some thunderstorms may be severe with damaging winds, large hail, tornadoes and heavy rainfall.
Lawrence County is under a wind advisory in efect until 10 pm this evening and a flash flood watch until 4 pm today.
Lawrence County is also under a tornado watch until 8:00 pm tonight.
A Tornado Watch means conditions are favorable for
tornadoes and severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch
area. We encourage everyone to be on the lookout for threatening weather conditions throughout today.
Thanks to Jim and Patsy Jones of Imboden for submitting many of the storm damage photo’s you see below included with the photo’s taken by Imboden Live.
