Sloan-Hendrix schools mathmatics coach Mike Baker sat down with me to discuss the new instructional website for area students last week.  Students and their parents can now sit down at their home computers to benefit from the teaching website that offers help in solving Algebra I and geometry problems. This is also a  great teaching tool for home school students, those seeking their GED, ACT prep, college, and high school students alike.

By logging onto the Sloan Hendrix school website and clicking on the Math Help link at the top of the page or by going directly to the NEA portal site at http://neaportal.k12.ar.us/ students can watch videos showing step by step math instruction. In the future the videos will be available for ipod downloads.

The website is funded by a $891,000 Enhancing Education through Technology grant . Mr. Baker has worked with the Co-op for the past two years on the portal program.
