Blues 6-1 Over Canucks
Tuesday nights game at the Scottrade Center (aka The Scotty) started off with the Blues coming out shooting with Andy McDonald (aka Andy Mac) scoring the first goal of the night 18 seconds into the 1st period on the Vancouver’s Raycroft (aka Ray Ray). At 34 seconds in the 1st period BJ Crombeen (aka Crummybean) and the Canucks Bieksa decided to beat on each other, setting the tone for the night. Crombeen would fight again with Bieksa midway through the 3rd period. Cam Janssen the St. Louis native (aka Cam Jam) smeared the face of Tanner Glass at 16:40 in the second, I doubt Glass will make the same mistake of dropping the gloves again with Cam Jam the Goon. #55 has one job and one job only, to disrupt whatever the other team is doing, and he’s good at it. Cam Janssen fought again late in the 3rd with Darcy Hordichuk who also recieved an extra 2 minutes for instigator. It was not much of a fight, Darcy was trying to hug up on Cam Jam as to not get his face bashed up. Then at the 20:00 mark in the 3rd, Roman Polak (aka Shrek) and Willie Mitchell crashed at the buzzer to start the 5th fight of the game, both recieved misconducts and roughing calls. Mitchell should be fined by the NHL for throwing punches over the Refs while they broke up the fight. David Perron (aka Lil David) scored twice in the first period and once in the third for his 1st NHL Hat-trick and the fans pelted the ice with their hats in appreciation. Ray-Ray gave up four goals in the first period and was yanked to the folding chair where he spent the remainder of the game with his head wrapped in a towel. This brought the return of Luongo (aka Super Mario) who’s been out with injuries who gave up the next 2 goals. Chris Mason of St.Louis was 22 for 23 in a 6 to 1 Butt-Whooping over the Canucks. Oh and for giggles Eric Brewer (aka The Brew-Ha-Ha) was a -1 for the game. Last year it was the Canucks who dashed our playoff hopes in the first round making this win even sweeter. Also TJ Oshie (aka Furnace Face) was a -1 with 17:55 of ice time. A big welcome to our newest Blue Lars Eller #61, we have not come up with a nickname for you yet but we are glad to have you on board. This win also stopped a 5 game losing streak for the Blues who are 5-6-4 so far on the season. Oh and a Big Thanks to FSN Midwest ( NOT ) we were forced to watch the Vancouver feed in Non-HD in St.Louis. I guess “The Panger” Darren Pang and John Kelley needed the night off, Ha. Blues take on the Nashville Thursday, San Jose on Saturday and the Coyotes Thursday the 19th. Do You Bleed Blue?
